Does Cocoa Powder Dissolve in Coffee?

Because cocoa powder contains both soluble and insoluble components, it does not completely dissolve in hot beverages like coffee. When you mix cocoa powder with liquids like coffee (or milk or water), a concentrated chocolate layer forms on the bottom. Because of the aforementioned factors, we’ve noticed this in vending machine beverages.

But this doesn’t rule out the possibility of dissolving cocoa powder. You may also form a paste out of the cocoa powder by mixing it with a bit of hot milk or water and stirring it until it’s smooth, as indicated above. After you have created this paste, you may mix in some coffee to help dissolve the unsweetened cocoa powder.
